The piece showcases Skyz dedication to the game while inserting SoFi, a financial institute, into the mix in a subtle yet natural way. SoFi runs research into ads before they go live, testing against brand recognition, understanding of purpose etc, and this piece scored higher than anything they've produced previously.
Skyz is now a meme in the CDL with casters screaming at the top of their lungs “His name is Cesar "Skyz" Bueno and he chose to invest in his game” when he makes any kind of play (see below.) Getting a tagline viral is a marketer's dream. SoFi couldn’t have asked for any more.
